The State of Campeche is located in the southwest of the Yucatan peninsula and southeast of the Mexican Republic. Bordered north with Yucatan State, south with Tabasco and the Republic of Guatemala; to the east with Quintana Roo and Belize, and west with the bay of Campeche in the Gulf of Mexico.
